“You Don’t Have to Be Pretty. You don’t owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don’t owe it to your mother, you don’t owe it to your children, you don’t owe it to civilisation in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked “female”.”—Erin, “A Dress a Day” (via eastatlanta)
Sometimes I start thinking about my bachelor degree and it truly grinds my gears because it’s really propelling me in no particular direction. Which is fine. I’m fine with it guys. I AM. But I feel like I should at least get an honorary doctorate in blowjobs or like dog whispering or mini human taming or something. Because I feel like they would be infinitely more useful than my bachelor degree which I often pull out just to cry on top of.
